The Nautical base of Martigues is located on the banks of the Etang de Berre with access to the Mediterranean Sea in a few minutes by watercraft and also has access to the village of Carro on the Mediterranean coast. The site is easily accessible. The premises are accessible to all. A very pleasant place for multiple nautical activities (sailing, kayaking, …). The nautical base welcomes the public for sports and leisure activities.

The base is integrated into a sports complex with a gymnasium and athletics track. The water sports base meets the federal standards of FF Voile (C13020) and FF Canoe Kayak.

It hosts international sporting events:
– 1998 World Windsurfing Championship , Europa Cup in laser
and Mediterranean 420 International Cup
– For more than 20 years, the base has been used to organise the French Youth Sailing Championships (minimes, espoirs) every year in July or August
– French Championship for Disabled sailing

Each year, the base organizes between 20 and 40 regattas (dinghy, windsurf, catamaran and habitables) from departmental to international level
