INFORMATIONS
This stadium, in the middle of Marseille, was renovated in 2015 and is used for athletic trials and rugby matches. It is a very prestigious stadium with a natural turf rugby pitch, approved for up to Pro D2 matches, and an athletics track. An oval, 400 m, 8-lane track with 3 steeplechase lanes on the inside, together with a sprint area (145 m, straight, 8-lane track), high jump area (18 m run-up), long and triple jump area (double 45 m run-up), pole vault area (45 m run-up) and shot put, discus, hammer and javelin areas (6 in total). The stadium features a main stand with covered seating for 2,300, including 32 PRM accessible seats; it also offers all the essential facilities for a sporting venue (changing rooms, warm-up area, treatment room, anti-doping checks, interview rooms etc.) including hospitality services (lounge areas, bars, boxes, public toilets etc.) There is also a sound system and display board operated from the Control Room. In addition, there are two modular, covered metallic stands capable of seating 1,200 – 1,300; the first stand is at the East corner of the stadium and the second, in the West corner. Capacity may occasionally be increased from 5,000 to 15,000, if required. The site can be directly accessed by underground and has 450 parking spaces in two zones (east and west).
